Like Peanut Butter and Jelly…
January 27th, 2007 by Neal LockeTwo of my favorite things came together on the web today: The Emerging Church movement and Presbyterianism. Or, as the website/blog is aptly called, Presbymergent. I hope it develops into a resource for those of us with one foot (happily) in each world. Now, if only someone could come up with a way to add a healthy dose of OpenSource to all of that…(wake up, Neal, wake up…dreaming again).

Neal – thanks for the link! Hopefully it will develop into a strong resource…we’ll see. As they say, it’s up to “the people.”

You scare me sometimes, I suspect that you will become a Borg if given the chance for Open Source life.

A borg? The borgs are a closed system–certainly nothing like open source. They are also violent, systematic, and consume anything in their path, conforming it to their own system…so maybe the borg are more like American Imperialists than the hackers that founded the OS movement.

It is weird to see the countless applications for those research skills; especially with the digital revolution. Nonetheless, it is good to see that you are doing well. Congratulations on the family. It seems like yesterday that the agile and eager teacher wished me luck on my way to college, while lunching at a class bbq (2002).
I guess you are wondering who I am. Here’s a hint:
